"I have used Donald's fly traps on our 14,000 stock unit farm in the King Country two summers ago, with great success. I found thay by shifting the fly trap with the lambs on their rotation, to be an efficient way to prevent strike in those mobs. Two mobs of approximatiely 350 lambs went right through summer without receiving any treatment for fly.
To achieve this, it required some thought and a change in mindset from normal management techniques, where the use of chemicals provides some short-term relief but is neither a cheap nor a lont term solution.
I feel that with long term use of these fly traps, one could practically eliminate the use of cehmicals and we all know the financial benefits of that."

"On our property at Awakino, we have had one of Don Cox’s fly-traps in use over the summer, through the bad fly strike period. We had it placed close to our sheep yards and woolshed and not far from our offal hole. It was quite incredible the number of flies that were trapped. In the past, whenever we had a mob of sheep in the yards, we always found great numbers of flies hovering and working on the sheep, but certainly this summer the numbers were greatly reduced and we did not have the problem of strike in and around the yards.
